VII Cooperation between School and Local Community
Home-room teachers regularly visit their studentsf homes and talk with their parents around the beginning of the school year.
In addition to regular visits, home-room teachers, guidance teachers and chief teachers also visit studentsf homes whenever they think it is necessary, for example, when students have a long-term absence, have troubles or accidents at school and have behavioral problems. In these special cases, it is important for teachers to have a common understanding about studentsf problems with their parents, to understand the desires of the parents and to relay the principles and views of the school to the parents.
