The revision of the Enforcement Regulation of the School Education Law in 2003 gave teachersf meetings an official institutional position. Though there had been arguments over whether its function is more as a decision-making body or as a consultative body of subsidiary board for school principals, teachersf meetings were clarified as functioning as subsidiary boards for the principal.
