| During the one to two week period when home-room teachers visit studentsf homes to provide guidance at the beginning of the school year, school hours are shortened and club activities are canceled. It is common for teachers to visit a few homes per day in their free time after school. Teachers contact parents and schedule their visit in advance. Teachers also consider the geographical efficiency when visiting studentsf homes.
