CRICED Hosts 9 Experts from SEAMEO Qitep in Language, Professional Development Center for Teacher of West Java and Maluku, Indonesia
On December 4 and 5, 2024, Center for Research on International Cooperation in Educational Development (CRICED) accepted nine experts from SEAMEO Qitep in Language*1, Professional Development Center for Teacher of West Java, and Professional Development Center for Teacher of Maluku*2, and supported their two-day study tour at University of Tsukuba. On the 5th, after the introduction of University of Tsukuba by Dr. Nakao Nomura, regional director for Southeast Asia and Taiwan, Bureau of Global Initiatives, a lively discussion ensued regarding further collaboration in the future.
The participants also observed the class of the AIMS program students, including 10 students from Indonesia.
*1 SEAMEO Qitep in Language is one of the SEAMEO regional centers in Indonesia that aims to promote multilingual and multiliteracy education for language teachers and educators within the framework of sustainable development.
*2 The Professional Development Center (BBGP) is a government organization that aims to improve the quality of in-service teachers.
