Former Rector of Mexico National University of Education (UPN) visited UT-Elementary School

On 28 January, Professor Marcela Santillán, former Rector of the National University of Education (UPN) and former Director General of the Teacher Training Department of Ministry of Education, Mexico, Dr Ramiro Carrillo and Dr Quitzeh Morales visited the attached Elementary School, where they observed and admired the classes taught by Mr Naoshi Aoyama and Mr Takao Moriyama. UPN is the core university for teacher education in Mexico, with more than 70 campuses throughout the country. The visitors have contributed the CRICED online courses’ development on mathematics, as well as their adaptation in Mexico based on the CRICED course. They have also participated in other courses and were surprised by the advanced inquiry-based Social-Studies education provided by Associate Professor Hyunjin Kim (Faculty of Human Sciences) with her colleagues.
