CRICED Hosts Mathematical and Computational Thinking Workshop at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Pulau Pinang (IPGM: Malaysia Teachers Training College, Penang, Malaysia)
Dr. Masami Isoda, director of CRICED, conducted a workshop on September 5-6 at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Pulau Pinang (IPGM*1), Penang, Malaysia, for the preparatory students*2 of the mathematics department to foster mathematical and computational thinking on the subject of numeracy.
The workshop was held following the one held in Sarawak in June.
In November, 10 students from IPGM will attend a training course at an elementary school attached to University of Tsukuba.
*1 The Malaysian National Teacher Training College, which operates 27 schools in Malaysia, and offers government scholarships.
*2 Students are enrolled in a one-year preparatory course.
