CRICED Holds Workshop and on AI Application and STEAM Education and Lesson Study Research Tour
As a back-to-back event of the 13th SEAMEO-University of Tsukuba Symposium held on February 6 and 7, 2025, CRICED conducted a workshop on AI applications and STEAM education as well as lesson study research tour.
More than 40 participants, mostly Indonesian researchers, gathered for the event. On February 4th, Dr Roberto Araya of University of Chile gave a lecture on Lesson Study 2.0 by using AI and Data Science, and on February 5th, CRICED Director Dr Masami Isoda gave a workshop on Unplugged Computational Thinking and Robot Programming for STEAM.
After the 13th SEAMEO Tsukuba University Symposium on February 6th and 7th, participants attended the annual open school research conference of the elementary school attached to University of Tsukuba on February 8th and February 9th, and observed Japanese class and a mathematics class. Finally, on February 12th, participants visited Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba, to observe classes and facilities.
The whole tour was rich in mutual learning, and was a fruitful experience for the participants.
